Grade 5 titanium, also known as Ti-6Al-4V, is an alloy composed of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. It boasts an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it both lightweight and durable. This alloy is highly resistant to corrosion and can withstand high temperatures, which is essential for the longevity of a watch.

For a watch case, Grade 5 titanium is ideal because it combines strength and lightness, ensuring comfort on the wrist while providing robust protection for the watch's movement. Its corrosion resistance helps prevent wear from exposure to sweat, moisture, and various environmental conditions. Additionally, titanium has a modern aesthetic and is hypoallergenic, making it suitable for a wide range of wearers. These properties make Grade 5 titanium an excellent choice for Resonance wristwatch.

Spring carbon steel is a specialized type of steel known for its excellent elasticity and ability to return to its original shape after deformation. Typically containing a higher carbon content (around 0.3% to 0.6%), this steel is designed to withstand repeated stress, making it ideal for manufacturing springs, shock absorbers, and other components that require resilience.

The manufacturing process involves heating the steel to a specific temperature, followed by rapid cooling to enhance its hardness. This heat treatment process improves the steel's mechanical properties, ensuring it can endure fatigue and provide reliable performance over time.
